Inside The Battle For Swing States And Their Impact On 2024 Election Results | TSR Investigates

Election Day is finally underway. And as we know, swing states and counties often play the deciding factor in who takes the presidential seat. Will that be the case in this 2024 election?

Well, The Shade Room’s Justin Carter is touching down on the ground and getting an up-close look at how voting is goin’ in these swing states and counties. Check out a special edition of ‘TSR Investigates‘ below.

TSR Touches Down In The Swing States: Georgia

Fayette County, a suburb in Atlanta, Georgia was the first stop on TSR’s journey into the battleground states. Once there, Carter spoke with Dr. Andrew Honeycutt, a Republican candidate for the state senate, who shared insight into why he’s standing behind Trump.

“People are moving here because of the lifestyle. They can afford the houses, it’s a good community,” Dr. Honeycutt told Carter before sharing his personal views on Trump. “I like Donald Trump[‘s] results… Blacks had the lowest rate of unemployment during his term. He funded historically Black colleges and universities permanently.”

According to Carter, Dr. Honeycutt is correct in asserting that Trump greenlit funding for HBCUs. However, President Biden reportedly holds the record for having the lowest unemployment rate for African Americans.

Nonetheless, Dr. Honeycutt believes Trump has “some hidden votes” from African Americans.

Another Voter Weighs In

However, Dr. Honeycutt’s senate rival, Democratic army veteran Kenya Wicks, believes Fayette County is “in the process of” turning blue.

“If a woman can take me to combat and bring me and my troops home, why can’t a woman run this country?” Wiggs asked while speaking to Carter. “

But Georgia isn’t the only swing state in the nation. Others include Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. Scroll above to watch as Carter speaks with a Government Affairs leader from Erie, Pennsylvania, about the state’s battleground status. Additionally, Carter touches down in Kenosha County, Wisconsin, to speak with a liberal voter and right-wing voter about the area’s shaky status.
