Drake Cancels Lollapalooza Performance in Brazil, Parties with 50 Cent in Miami Instead

Written by on March 27, 2023

On Sunday, March 26, Canadian rapper Drake was scheduled to perform on the final night of Lollapalooza in Brazil. However, the rapper cancelled his set just hours before he was supposed to go on, citing “unforeseen circumstances” within his own sound and production team. Skrillex was brought in as a last-minute replacement.

Drake had been traveling throughout South America for other Lollapalooza sets in Argentina and Chile prior to his scheduled performance in Brazil. While some fans claim that the rapper didn’t perform as long as he usually does, his sets were just the warm-up for his upcoming tour.

Since his set was cancelled, Drake decided to head to Miami for the weekend. He was spotted at several notable restaurants and hotels in Miami Beach before turning up at Booby Trap On The River to party with 50 Cent. In a video that was posted to social media, the two rappers can be seen linking up in 50 Cent’s section while “I Get Money” plays in the background.

Drake’s cancelled performance at Lollapalooza in Brazil disappointed many of his fans, who were excited to see him perform. However, the rapper is set to embark on his It’s All A Blur Tour with 21 Savage starting on June 16 in New Orleans. The tour will hit 28 major cities, including Miami, Atlanta, and Chicago, before wrapping up in Arizona on September 5. Recently, the duo added new dates to major cities in Texas, Florida, New York, California, Washington, Nevada, and more.

Despite the disappointment of his cancelled performance in Brazil, it seems that Drake is making the most of his time in Miami and gearing up for his upcoming tour.
