There was a frightening moment at a Fatman Scoop concert when he suddenly collapsed on stage and required CPR.
The iconic hip hop hype man was performing on Friday at Town Center Park in Hamden, CT, when he appeared to experience a medical emergency.
According to attendees, Fatman Scoop collapsed and lost consciousness, prompting a rush of people to his aid to perform CPR. Authorities confirmed they were dispatched to the scene for a medical emergency at 8:33 PM.
Video footage shows medical personnel administering chest compressions behind the DJ booth, with concertgoers identifying the person receiving CPR as Fatman Scoop.
As the music abruptly stops, a hush falls over the crowd, and murmurs spread about Fatman Scoop being given CPR.
The person who recorded the video stated they saw Fatman Scoop fall, and he was eventually carried out on a stretcher.
It’s unclear what caused this incident, but we hope Fatman Scoop makes a full recovery.
