Nicki Minaj’s Husband Kenneth Petty Uses Gay Slur, Internet Goes In On Him

Written by on August 31, 2024

Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, is facing backlash online after using a gay slur during a TikTok live session, sparking outrage among fans and critics alike.

The incident occurred Friday night while Kenneth appeared alongside Nicki in a music studio. During the live stream, as Nicki encouraged her fans to stay positive and not let others bring them down, Kenneth interjected with a controversial comment.

Kenneth added, “That’s right, especially little f****** or f*** boys,” using a derogatory term for gay individuals that is commonly found in the rap community.

The reaction online has been swift and negative, with many people expressing their disappointment in Kenneth and frustration with Nicki for not addressing or correcting his language during the live session.

Fans have been particularly vocal about their disappointment, pointing out that Nicki has a significant LGBTQ+ fanbase, yet she didn’t defend them when Kenneth used the offensive term. This has led some to question Nicki’s support for her loyal fans, known as her “Barbz.”

The couple, who married in 2019 and welcomed a son in 2020, have faced controversy before. Kenneth was required to register as a sex offender in California in 2020 due to a 1995 first-degree attempted rape conviction.

We have reached out to Nicki’s representatives for a comment on Kenneth’s use of the slur, but have not yet received a response.
