She’s on her book tour promoting her new memoir, ‘Matriarch,’ and her latest stop had everybody talking, especially since she linked up with none other than Michelle Obama! Tina Knowles Brought The Moves To Her Book Tour Stop In D.C.
On Wednesday, April 30, Tina sat down with the Former First Lady in Washington, D.C. for a real-deal convo about her newly released book. But it was the end of their chat that had folks online losing it. After wrapping up the interview, Michelle told the crowd she wanted to dance to one of Tina’s favorite songs, and the energy shifted real quick. “Tina wanted to go out on one of her favorite songs. So, folks, let’s hit it,” she said, and then the venue lit up with 803Fresh’s ‘Boots On The Ground.’ The crowd cheered in excitement. Michelle, serving looks in a tailored black suit, started hitting a lil’ one-two step on stage.

Meanwhile, Tina, rocking a black and silver sequined dress with a sheer cape, kept it classy, shuffling side to side. Now, that fit was giving elegance, but it definitely wasn’t letting her cut up like she probably wanted to. The two kept the cuteness going, with the crowd hyping them up as they shuffled and danced their way to the end of the event.

The D.C. stop on Tina’s tour came with some surprises, too. While chatting with Michelle, Tina received a major surprise —an audio message from Beyoncé herself. In the midst of tour rehearsals, Queen Bey still found the time to show her mom some love on a HUGE accomplishment. Footage from the TikTok account @big_bey1981 showed a photo of Beyoncé on the screen, accompanied by her name and an audio meter, as her voice rang out. She made it known that her mom had hit #1 on The New York Times’ best-seller list, and she was incredibly proud.
“I’m so excited because I want to congratulate you on having the number 1 book on the New York Times’ best-seller list,” Beyoncé said, as the crowd erupted before hushing real quick to hear the rest. “I’m so proud of you, and I’m so excited, and this is well deserved. Congratulations.”
