During a recent interview on Cam Newton’s ‘Funky Friday’ podcast, Ace Hood got real about growth, temptation, and what marriage has taught him — and let’s just say, the glow-up is spiritual. The rapper opened up about how his mindset has shifted over the years, admitting that in the past, he fell into the same traps as many young men in the industry — chasing attention, living fast, and letting ego lead. But now? He says he’s operating from a whole different frequency.

“Before my wife came into my life, I was the boy,” Ace Hood can be heard telling Cam Newton. “I’ve had my fair share of women, doing whatever I want…having fun.” And when it comes to temptation, discipline and self-worth are what keep him grounded. “In terms of being in a marriage, for me…imma take that serious. I don’t play with marriage, I’m not that type of guy.” He concluded with, “If we gone get married, we gone do this, we locking in.
