Lil Zay Osama Opens Up About Wanting To Support Chicago Mother & Son Following Viral Attack

On Tuesday,Nov. 18, Lil Zay Osama took to his Instagram Story asking for help to locate the Chicago mother and son who were attacked by a group of kids. He said the video hit him hard as a father and emphasized, “That ain’t Chicago. I need that young man in the video to know that what happened to him and his mom ain’t normal.”

Lil Zay Osama shared that he and his foundation want to support the family for Christmas. He offered to fly them to Los Angeles for a weekend, take them to dinner, and show them real support. He added that this moment should be a call to action for the entire city and announced that he’s starting by donating so the young boy can shop for himself and his mom.

Lil Zay Osama also sat down for an interview with FOX32 Chicago, delivering a message directly to other children who may be watching. He emphasized that incidents like this should not be happening and urged the community to do better for its youth.

He followed up with a caption expressing pride in stepping up for his city, writing, “Happy to be of service to my city and community. I’m here for it 100. Shout out @kaseychronistv @fox32chicago.”

Rapper Dreezy took to her socials to react to the viral footage showing minors attacking a mother and her children.

In her post, she wrote, “I’m too mad about them lil kids in Chicago. Love my city down but grown adults need to step up and raise/correct the kids. And these schools need to start having mandatory mental health programs. SMH it’s bigger than just kicking them out! Wtf,” Dreezy wrote.

After receiving criticism, she clarified her stance, saying, “I never said the school did anything wrong. But I do believe ALL schools should provide mental health education/support just as much as any other subject. Especially in Black communities. Don’t worry, challenge accepted.”
