Mary J. Blige Shuts Down Heckler at Las Vegas Residency Show

Mary J. Blige did not let a heckler slide during her Las Vegas residency. About halfway through her two-hour show on Wednesday night at Dolby Live Theater, the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul stopped between songs when someone in the crowd started booing.
Blige addressed the person directly from the stage, saying they did not have to come to the show and that she hoped someone would politely remove them. She questioned why anyone would spend money on a ticket just to boo, calling the heckler an idiot before moving on.
She then apologized to the rest of the crowd and got right back to the music. The moment did not derail the night. About 20 minutes later, she brought out special guest Wyclef Jean, and the two performed his classic “911” together.
The show is part of her first Las Vegas residency, “Mary J. Blige: My Life, My Story,” which runs at Dolby Live at Park MGM with performances continuing into 2027.
