Nicki Minaj is pushing back in court. The rap superstar is asking a judge to reject a $3,900 sanctions request filed by her ex-manager Brandon Garrett in his assault lawsuit against her.
According to her legal team, they already answered Garrett’s questions in July and September — and Garrett missed his deadline to challenge those answers. In other words, her side says the sanctions request should never have been filed at all.
A hearing on the matter is set for November 10 in Los Angeles, where a judge will decide whether the sanctions request stands or gets tossed.
