Clapback Season! Klay Thompson Defends Megan Thee Stallion After Ex-NBA Players Suggest She’s Hurting His Game (VIDEO)

Klay Thompson didn’t shy away from stepping up for Megan Thee Stallion on Wednesday (November 12). A new podcast episode of ‘Hoopin’ N Hollerin’ seemingly had Klay a lil’ hot after its hosts Jason Williams and Patrick Beverley shaded his bae! Thompson gave the ex-NBA players a piece of his mind in an Instagram comment that’s since gone viral.
Megan is still hush-hush about how her knight in shining armor slid in! However, her fans are clapping it up, counting the moment as a double-win for Thee Stallion. That’s because Klay happened to speak out on the same day a court denied Tory Lanez‘s appeal to toss out his conviction for shooting her.

On Wednesday’s episode of ‘Hoppin’ N Hollerin,’ Thompson’s basketball game this season was on the chopping block. Looking at ESPN stats, Klay has become a situational contributor — a veteran presence with the occasional scoring bursts. He’s slipping when it comes to consistently meeting his elite shooter status. This season, he’s averaging 8.5 points per game, 2.8 rebonds and 1.9 assists. His three-point percentage is also at 28.9%. All that suggests that while he’s a valuable player for the Mavericks, Klay might not be operating at his best.
While chattin’ about these numbers (and more), Megan Thee Stallion caught some strays from Jason Williams and Patrick Beverley. It seems Patrick was also unsatisfied with Thompson’s comment of being “out of [his] prime.” Pat Bev said people keeping giving Klay “a pass,” but argued that he’s “never seen Klay not shoot it like this.”
“It only takes one p****y to drag a battleship across the desert,” Williams responded to Pat Bev. “Klay Thompson I ain’t saying that’s what it is, but that might be what it is.”
As previously reported, Megan and Klay Thompson went public with their relationship during the offseason earlier this year. And they’ve been going strong ever since! As that clip circulated the internet, Klay clocked the comments in an IG comment section.
“Referring to my GF as a “pussy” is so disgusting and disturbing. Especially from someone who played in the NBA. How would y’all feel if I referred to your wives in such a way? @patbev21 Do better fellas. Very disappointing.”

Meanwhile…Tory Lanez Loses Appeal In Shooting Case
In other Megan Thee Stallion-related news, Tory Lanez took an L in court this week. A California court on Wednesday denied the Canadian rapper’s appeal of his guilty verdict on charges he fired a gun at Megan. A three-judge panel from the California 2nd District Court of Appeal issued a ruling saying they affirm the conviction of the 33-year-old on three felony counts. Tory’s team can still petition the California Supreme Court to hear the appeal.
In December 2022, Tory Lanez was convicted of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, having a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. His trial became a cultural obsession, raising questions about gender, race, hip-hop, friendship loyalty, online toxicity, and violence against Black women. Megan Thee Stallion testified that in July 2020, after they left a party at Kylie Jenner’s Hollywood Hills home, Tory Lanez fired a gun at the back of her feet.
Tory is serving a 10-year sentence at the California Men’s Colony near San Luis Obispo, California. Officials transferred him there after a fellow inmate stabbed him at California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi. An Instagram post on Lanez’s account said he was stabbed 14 times and both his lungs collapsed.
