NLE Choppa is speaking out after his mother went live on social media to defend him against claims that he’s an absent father. The latest live follows a recent back-and-forth with NLE’s mom and Marissa Da’Nae after Marissa claimed her son, Chozen, refers to her ex, rapper EKT40, as “dad.”

NLE Choppa’s Mom Defends Him Against Absent Father Claims
On Saturday, NLE Choppa’s mother, Angeleta Potts, went live clapping back at the mothers of NLE’s children following claims that the rapper does not take care of his children. Potts denied those accusations and claimed that both Marissa Da’Nae and Mariah have allegedly blocked NLE from seeing his children. She specifically addressed Marissa, stating that she believes Marissa’s frustration stems from NLE’s refusal to marry her when he was 19.
During her approximately 30-minute livestream, Potts also referenced rapper NBA YoungBoy. Potts referenced a video showing Marissa allegedly having their son sing NBA YoungBoy’s songs and seemingly suggested she and YoungBoy were involved. As previously reported, NLE Choppa and NBA YoungBoy have exchanged diss tracks.
NLE Choppa Co-Signs His Mom’s Message
While NLE Choppa has remained silent and hasn’t addressed the accusations against him, he is now co-signing his mom’s statements. The rapper reposted footage from her livestream to his Instagram Story, adding the text, “I second this message 🤣🤣🤣.” Marissa Da’Nae later responded by taking to her X account, where she clapped back at Angeleta Potts’ claims.
