Too $hort Says Mount Westmore Pays More for Less Work

Too $hort is breaking down the best math in his career. In a new REVOLT interview released October 29, the Oakland legend said his work with Mount Westmore, the supergroup with Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube and E-40, pays him more than his solo shows while asking only about 20 to 25 percent of the workload.
He did not hold back on how he sees it, calling the group the best side hustle he has ever had in his life. One verse and a shared stage, he explained, can pay better than carrying a full solo night alone.
The group came together from E-40’s pandemic phone calls, and Ice Cube came up with the Mount Westmore name. Between the four veterans, they have recorded enough songs for three albums.
Four West Coast icons, a fraction of the work, and a bigger check. That is a veteran move, and Too $hort is enjoying every bit of it.
