Kevin McCalls Reveals He’s On EBT & Calls Chris Brown Out For Making Millions On Tour
Earlier this week, the official Instagram account of the ‘Back On Figg’ podcast shared a clip from the show’s recent sitdown with Kevin McCall. In the clip, McCall became emotional while revealing to the hosts that he’s been on government assistance, specifically the EBT program. While speaking, McCall appeared to refer to Brown and their past song collaborations, stating, “N****s are at Breezy Bowl, making $90 million, and it say, ‘K-K-K-K-Mac.’ Can I get $25,000 for them four songs I owe you, bro?”
Furthermore, the clip went so viral that it even caught the attention of Young Thug, who offered to hold McCall down with some cash.
To note, according to a September report from Billboard, Chris Brown’s Breezy Bowl tour grossed at least $241 million as of that month, with figures projected to reach $300 million by its conclusion. The outlet notes that the tour is his most successful, selling at least 1.7 million tickets.
Chris Brown Seemingly Responds As The Internet Plays Back Their History
Young Thug wasn’t the only one who peeped Kevin McCall’s comments. On the evening of Tuesday, October 21, Brown took to his Instagram Story to share some brief words, seemingly in response to the songwriter.
“Remember this: you can’t walk across a burnt bridge. And you know what’s funnier than a troll? A BROKE ONE [sly grin emoji],” Brown wrote.
As The Shade Room previously reported, the apparent rift between Kevin McCall and Chris Brown dates back at least a decade. In 2015, McCall shared his grievances about being signed to Brown and Brown allegedly failing to strike deals for him. Prior to this, the pair collaborated on songs that would go on to be some of Brown’s biggest hits. This includes songs such as ‘Dueces,’ ‘Strip,’ and ‘No Bulls**t.’ Despite their success, however, the pair seemingly never repaired their relationship.
