Tylil James is currently going viral after he stood ten toes behind his friend Kai Cenat at the recent Streamer Awards. Over the weekend, FanFan made a joke while hosting the show. She told Kai, “Congrats on your new documentary…” following the release of the ‘Sean Combs: The Reckoning’ docuseries. While Kai let the Diddy joke fly, Tylil quickly hopped on the mic and told her the joke wasn’t funny. After the clips went viral, he received mixed reviews. Some applauded him, and others said he did too much! Now, Tylil is back online claiming the ‘W Friend’ title as he doubles down on everything he said.

Tylil Explains Why He Stood Up for Kai Cenat Against FanFan
Tylil sat down during his recent stream to explain why he stood up for Kai Cenat after FanFan compared him to Diddy. He shared that, with all the allegations surrounding Diddy, he personally felt the joke was something “F** up to say.” He added that Kai being his friend made the situation feel even more disrespectful. Tylil clarified that while he could have stayed silent, doing so would have gone against his true self. As he responded to critics, he emphasized: “It’s a time and place for everything.” He continued:
“You don’t got friend back like I got my friend back. You wouldn’t go to the further extent to make sure your friend felt reassured or cared about like I would. So if I gotta deal with some hate just so my mans feel good. I’ll do it f** it.”
Other Content Creators Chime In
As clips from the Streamer Awards continue circulating, many streamers and creators weighed in to share their thoughts. Chrisean Rock took to her platform, saying she was disturbed by the jokes about Kai Cenat and Rakai. She added that there wouldn’t be a streamer world without them.
Streamers PlaqueBoyMax and Fanum acknowledged that they understood it was supposed to be a roast, but the jokes didn’t come off well. PlaqueBoyMax made it clear that no one should run a hate train on FanFan. He agreed the jokes weren’t hitting and even commended Tylil for defending Kai. During Fanum’s stream, he stated:
“It’s supposed to be a roast… don’t think it was communicated either. It’s just a bad comparison. It probably would’ve been funnier if the documentary didn’t release cause it’s like if a n*** saying a Jeffrey Dahmer joke… nobody wanna be compared to that. L joke and L timing.”
Kai Cenat Preaches Mental Health During A Night Full Of Wins
Despite being used as the butt of a joke, Kai Cenat still walked away with major accomplishments. The jokes couldn’t dim his success as he took home four Streamer Awards. During his stream for Best Streamed Collab, he encouraged fellow streamers and viewers to prioritize their mental health. In his speech, he stated:
“I hope a lot of the creators in here and everybody at home and the viewers and streamers really take care y’all mental health. I just noticed that recently I just been going through things in my head and I was able to turn to like anime, Death Note, Naruto, recently since I been gone. I just been able to find happiness in that. Within our community collabing is everything. You feel what I’m saying. I know this year has been very difficult in general on the fan bases, the communities of streaming in general. As long as we don’t tear each other apart and let that get in between us we gone be just fine.”
