Richard Maurice Colbert, better known as iHeartMemphis for his viral hit ‘Hit The Quan,’ was arrested following a live-streamed standoff with a Miami SWAT team. Many people online have come together to send prayers and support as details continue to unfold, including from Coco Bliss.

iHeartMemphis Facing Two Charges Following Police Standoff
On Monday night, iHeartMemphis went live for hours, streaming from inside his home. With more than 20,000 viewers tuned in, they watched as the rapper went on a rant while destroying items throughout the house. The live ultimately ended when law enforcement entered the residence. During the encounter, he pleaded with officers, stating that he was not armed. He was later taken into custody at the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
A family member told CBS News Miami that they had been trying to get Colbert help for days prior to the incident. Before the standoff, iHeartMemphis posted a series of cryptic messages online. He also shared footage of Coco Bliss, the mother of his child, appearing to try to help him as officers arrived to conduct a wellness check.
Additionally, authorities say Colbert allegedly told officers that he was God. In another video, he referenced clouds in the sky and claimed he was being spied on. Police confirmed that no injuries were reported. Colbert was transported to a hospital for evaluation and is now facing charges of making written or electronic threats to kill and resisting an officer. The situation remains under investigation.
Coco Speaks Out And Shares An Update On iHeartMemphis’ Mental Health
Following the incident involving iHeartMemphis, Coco Bliss took to Instagram asking for prayers as she shared a photo of Memphis holding their daughter, Lael. She later updated supporters on Snapchat, revealing she was able to speak with him following his arrest. According to Coco, he sounded “normal again” during their call and is willing to get help. She added that she is taking this time to look for a treatment facility for him once he bonds out.
“That’s why you never ever give up on the people you love… mental health is very real.”
Coco also reassured fans that their daughter is safe and that his dog, who was seen in his livestream, is okay as well. She even gave supporters a glimpse inside their home following the police standoff, showing shattered glass, broken furniture, and visible damage. Coco, along with a few friends, began cleaning up the space.
After critics flooded the comments diagnosing Memphis with schizophrenia and questioning why she was helping him, Coco stepped into The Shade Room Teens with a response. She wrote,
“The lease is in my name. I have no choice but to try and clean up as much as I can. The messier it is the more I’m going to have to pay.” She added, “Also Memphis does not have schizophrenia. He is not diagnosed with any mental illness as of now. He is court ordered to go be evaluated by a psychiatrist.”
