Angela Simmons Seemingly Speaks On What Ended Her Romance With Yo Gotti

On March 27, Angela Simmons appeared as the guest on the newest episode of Cam Newton’s ‘Funk Fridays’ podcast, published via YouTube. During their sitdown, Newton asked Simmons about Gotti publicly sharing his crush for her back in 2015 with his single, ‘Down in the DM.’ Additionally, Newton asked Simmons if, in light of their breakup, the crush should’ve remained just a crush.

In turn, Simmons declined. Additionally, she explained that she “had a great relationship” and it taught her that she’d “be a great wife.” From there, Newton asked if she could share the moment she “knew it was over.” Ultimately, Simmons explained that she believes Gotti simply wasn’t ready for marriage, and they weren’t “in the same space.”

More On Angela Simmons & Gotti’s Romance Ending

As The Shade Room previously reported, in May, Yo Gotti sparked breakup rumors with Angela Simmons when he took to Instagram to share a few photos from London, using the word “Lonely.”

By June, Simmons appeared on Angie Martinez’s ‘IRL’ podcast and explained that she wouldn’t have chosen for them to break up, but “it was what was best.”
