Adult Novelty Chocolate Reportedly Recalled Due To “Life-Threatening” Levels Of Viagra Ingredients
On Thursday, March 26, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration released an announcement asserting that on March 19, Gear Isle voluntarily recalled a lot of the Gold Lion Aphrodisiac Chocolate Sachet and a lot of the ilum Sex Chocolate. Pet the release, the FDA asserted that “undeclared active ingredients” of “sildenafil and tadalafil,” often found in Viagra and other pills that treat erectile dysfunction, “may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs… and… cause a significant drop in blood pressure that may be life-threatening.”
“Among the adult male population who are most likely to use these products, adult males who use nitrates for cardiac conditions are most at risk from these products,” the release added.

Furthermore, the release noted that at this time, adverse effects on the chocolate lots have not been reported. However, it should be noted that the bars “were distributed nationwide via internet sales.”
“Gear Isle is notifying its customers by notification letter and is arranging for returns and refunds of all recalled products. Consumers who have the product(s) (see table) that are being recalled should stop using them and return them for a refund,” the release added.

Frozen Chicken Breasts Also Faced A Recent Recall
As The Shade Room previously reported, in January, frozen chicken breasts were also recalled in multiple states. Furthermore, it was reported that Suzanna’s Kitchen issued a recall “for ready-to-eat grilled chicken breast fillets.” This, reportedly, because a third-party lab noticed the presence of “Listeria monocytogenes” in the food item. Ultimately, the food was determined to have been distributed in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Carolina, and Ohio.
