Yella Beezy is now battling against grief on top of a murder case. On Friday, the rapper was reportedly absent from a pre-trial hearing for his alleged role in the killing of Mo3. Two days later, he opened up about his mother’s death in a touching social media post.

Yella Beezy Pens Emotional Message After His Mother’s Death
On Sunday, Yella Beezy uploaded 20 slides of memories featuring his mom, from selfies with him and her grandkid to FaceTime screenshots. The rapper expressed pain losing his “mama…sister…best friend…world and everything.” Right now, he feels “empty,” Beezy wrote. He added that this is the first time she’s ever disappointed him by leaving him when he needs her the most.
“I wouldn’t wish this pain on my worst enemy…. My BaccBone , My life …. How I’m supposed to live without you ? Who I’m supposed to talk to everyday? Send reels too? Who I’m supposed to argue with? It’s been me and you against the world since birth. Can’t nobody go to war about me like you. Take up for me, protect me and my name through it all. God, you don’t make mistakes, and I’ll never question you. I’m never going against you . Neither will I ever doubt you but I’m hurt and lost and need your strength. Yella Beezy wrote that he’ll miss their talks, her vibes, how she lights up a room, her smile and the way she stands by him and their family. Regardless of how unfair it all feels, the rapper said he’s confident his mother is in Heaven.

After The Shade Room reposted Yella Beezy’s touching message, over 6,000 roommates, including celebrities, weighed in with condolences. Porsha Williams and Tommie Lee dropped prayer hand emojis and Ayesha Howard—whom shares kids with Lil Baby and Anthony Edwards— wrote, “May God lift him in this time of mourning.”

Rapper Absent From Court In Mo3 Case Amid Mom’s Death
According to Fox 4 KDFW, Yella Beezy opted out of a court appearance on Friday (Jan. 16) amid his mother’s passng. He had a pre-trial hearing scheduled in connection to his alleged role in the murder-for-hire plot that led to Mo3’s death in 2020. His lawyers and prosecutors are expected to return to court this week with pre-trial motions and potential trial dates. His jury trial is set to begin on Feb. 2, but that date could change.
As previously reported, police arrested Yella Beezy in March 2025, accusing him of orchestrating the “hit” on Mo3. The rapper was gunned down on November 11, 2020 while driving in Dallas. Beezy walked last year on a $750,000 bond after it was reduced from $2 million. He’s currently on house arrest with electronic monitoring. His bond conditions allow him to continue working in music, including leaving the house once a week for up to five hours to hit the studio. His latest single ‘Blame It On Me’ was released in September 2025.
