Drake Claps Back At T-Pain Claiming Drizzy Ignored His Own Advice On Retiring From Music GracefullyDrake Claps Back At T-Pain Claiming Drizzy Ignored His Own Advice On Retiring From Music Gracefully

Whew! Drake just clapped back at T-Pain after the ‘Buy U a Drank’ hitmaker shaded him on the ‘Crash Dummies’ podcast, calling out Drizzy for not following his own advice about bowing out gracefully. Drake wasn’t here for the shade, hinting at old resentment in a spicy Instagram comment.

Drake Claps Back At T-Pain’s Shade

T-Pain got messy on the YouTube podcast, bringing up Drake’s 2023 Lil Yachty interview where he said he wanted to “gracefully bow out” of the music game and not get “kicked out.” T-Pain said those words actually inspired him to step back from the grind and not chase people’s approval. “I said, ‘Thank y’all, I’ll drop something, let me know if you heard it,’” he shared, prioritizing peace over clout.

But he threw shade, saying Drake’s been dropping tracks like he’s trying to prove something. “Drake like, ‘Nah, hold up, I got another one. Y’all ain’t feel that? Bet, one more,’” T-Pain quipped, suggesting Drizzy’s not walking his talk. T-Pain wasn’t done yet, saying he’s done chasing validation. “I’m out this motherf*cker. I ain’t tryna impress y’all,” he declared. “I changed the game, made a sound. What else?” He’s ready to exit on his terms, but feels Drake’s still clinging to the spotlight.

When TorontoRappers posted the clip on IG, Drake slid in the comments on Thursday, June 26.  He wrote, “This guy always had resentment for me, you can hear it every time he speaks on my name.”

Social Media Responds To T-Pain’s “Bowing Out” Remarks

The Roomies had some very opinionated things to say about T-Pain as well as Drake’s response. Peep the comments below…

@t_viesal wrote, “T-Pain lowkey more impactful than Drake but that’s neither here nor there.”

@abathingwolf wrote, “Why he respond to tpain that fast but not kendrick lol”

@its.kueenkia wrote, “Tpain is legendary let’s not slander him for his own opinion 🤷🏽‍♀️”

@ajaxstacks wrote, “I know t pain not comparing his career to Drakes .. lol boy stop.”

@qcmedia___ wrote, “Drake’s got two of the hottest songs of 2025 btw. Off the platinum album he dropped without a major label budget. No clue why T-Pqin picked this year to be a hater but we don’t be on that down here in Florida. Tighten up”

@champagnenupe wrote, “Drake has to learn to stop responding to everything and everyone.. you gotta be like Beyoncé and just never say anything”

@profitdachef wrote, “Tpain will tell a joke but he won’t tell a Lie”

@deandraadrina wrote, “I don’t think Tpain is hating though Drake 🫠”

T-Pain Caught Heat For Previously Vibing To Kendrick’s ‘Not Like Us’

Rewind to May 2024, when T-Pain faced some backlash for dancing to Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’ at a Vegas club. Some fans were under the impression T-Pain was picking sides when a clip of him vibing in a robe at a Vegas nightclub to K-Dot’s song went viral on the internet. T-Pain was all the way lit in the video clip, doing his lil’ 1, 2 step and slide stepping left to right as the crowd hyped him up.

And that’s all that was, he later responded in a tweet shared on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Don’t drunk dance in a robe,” he wrote. “Somehow it’s a political statement now. Let ppl dance PLEASE!! Mustard killed that f—-n beat tho.” He swore he was just feeling the music and not dissing Drake. But Roomies, could this be why Drizzy’s sensing “resentment”?
