Brooklyn’s Cypress Hills neighborhood was rocked overnight, and what was supposed to be a night of celebration quickly turned chaotic. Authorities are now investigating after a shocking incident left multiple teenagers injured in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Six Teens Reportedly Injured In Brooklyn Sweet 16 Shooting

According to New York City police, six teens were reportedly shot following a Sweet 16 party at an event space near Ashford Street and Atlantic Avenue. The victims allegedly include two 15-year-old girls, a 15-year-old boy, two 16-year-old boys, and a 17-year-old boy. Additionally, all were rushed to nearby hospitals and are reportedly in stable condition. Officials said the shooting occurred around 1 a.m., roughly 20 minutes after the party had ended.

Suspects On The Run After Brooklyn Shooting, Investigation Ongoing

Furthermore, police are actively searching for two male suspects seen fleeing the scene wearing masks and all-black clothing. The venue’s management, Burbuja Events, confirmed that no shots were fired inside the space and emphasized their full cooperation with law enforcement. In a statement, they expressed condolences to those affected and pledged to remain in communication with the NYPD’s 75th Precinct and Brooklyn North Night Watch as the investigation continues. Authorities have not yet disclosed a motive or what led up to the shooting.

Just weeks before a Sweet 16 shooting in Brooklyn left six teens wounded, Stockton was shaken by another heartbreaking scene at a family birthday celebration. As previously reported, a banquet hall near Lucile Avenue became the site of a deadly attack, leaving 14 people injured and four confirmed dead. Early reports suggest it may have been a targeted attack, though authorities are keeping all angles open. Stockton’s Vice Mayor Jason Lee shared heartfelt messages on social media, offering prayers to the families and children affected while urging anyone with information or footage to come forward. The city, much like Brooklyn, is grappling with the trauma and searching for answers.
