Yaya Mayweather Takes Accountability After Publicly Checking NBA YoungBoy
Recently, Yaya Mayweather dropped a lengthy apology on her Instagram Story after dragging NBA YoungBoy for not doing right by their son. She previously went off in posts on X (formerly Twitter), claiming NBA didn’t put up money for their son’s birthday party and that her dad, Floyd Mayweather covered it. Now, Yaya is walking it back and apologizing to rapper for taking their business to the internet. She admitted that the info should’ve stayed private and said her emotions were high since they weren’t on good terms at the time.
“I want to apologize for bringing my personal issues between me and my child’s father to the internet. That was something that should have stayed private. Emotions were high and we weren’t seeing eye to eye, but that doesn’t justify it.”
She also clarified that YoungBoy does help out whenever she needs something. “He does help. Anytime I ask him for anything no matter what it is… even if it’s for me he makes it happen.” She continued, “I just got upset because it wasn’t happening as quickly as I wanted and I let my emotions take over.”
Additionally, Yaya told her followers that they’re still learning how to co-parent. She also promised to keep her personal life more private moving forward.
“Our disagreements and emotions are not for the internet, and I apologize to him and to anyone who got dragged into something that should’ve stayed between two parents. She added, “Growth looks like handling things better not making them messier.”
Here’s What Yaya Previously Said About YoungBoy
Yaya dropped the apology after she aired NBA out in a string of now-deleted tweets. She accused him of putting money toward other women while supposedly coming up short for their son. She also said her dad was the one who went all out for Kentrell Jr.’s birthday.
“You giving h*** money to go shopping and buying h***jewelry, but still haven’t given me money for my son’s birthday party. You know who paid for my son’s birthday party? MY DAD!!!!!!”
From there, she praised Floyd for filling a father-figure role in KJ’s life. “My dad doesn’t just help me with KJ financially either. when i tell y’all my dad really stepped up and is more like father figure to KJ than a grandfather. he’s the one teaching KJ how to be a REAL man he’s there mentally, physically, emotionally etc.”
In another post, she admitted she felt irritated because even if she can things, she shouldn’t have to do it all by herself. “It doesn’t matter if I have it or not… I didn’t lay down with my dad and make a baby, but somehow he’s the one stuck helping me take care of my child.”
Yaya Gets Real About Her Painful Tattoo Removal Process

She didn’t spill which ones she’s getting rid of, but fans loved seeing her step into what looks like a new era. “I had my first tattoo removal session yesterday to get 4 tattoos removed, and that s**t hurts so bad.”
