Cassie’s Attorney Opens Up About Her Well-Being After First Day Of Cross-Examination

On day four of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal trial, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura continued her cross-examination, reviewing a series of text messages and emails related to her past relationship with the music mogul. Some of the messages dated back as far as 2008 and extended through 2010.

After court wrapped, Cassie’s attorney told reporters that she is doing well. He also shared that she feels tired, as she is currently pregnant and expecting her third child with her husband, Alex Fine.

“She’s holding up great, and she seems great to me,” Douglas Wigdor told reporters. Wigdor also shared how Alex Fine has been coping with the trial. He said he believes Alex likely finds it hard to process everything, but he’s managing it well. “I mean, I said it yesterday, if you were in his shoes… this is difficult for him to watch, but he’s holding up great.”

Singer’s Legal Team Denies Credibility Concerns

Cassie’s lawyer spoke directly to reporters at the close of her cross-examination and shut down any speculation about her credibility on the stand. When asked if she had any hidden motives, he firmly denied it. Wigdor also said that she’s simply sharing her truth and believes the evidence will speak for itself as the trial moves forward.

“The facts are the facts, and she’s telling them as they are, her truth, and they are what they are. This is not a typical cross-examination. There’s no issues with her credibility. And I think the evidence will be clear as the case goes on and Cassie’s testimony goes on. And we’ll see what the jury does,” he said.

Key Details From Day 1 Of Cassie Ventura’s Cross-Examination

On May 15, Defense attorney Anna Estevao questioned Cassie during her cross-examination. As TSR previously reported, Estevao brought up the alleged “freak-offs,” reading texts Diddy reportedly sent in August 2009, where he asked Cassie to participate. “When do you want to freak off? Lol,” Combs wrote. Cassie then responds, “I’m always ready to freak off.” Two days later, he sent her another message that reportedly read, “I can’t wait to watch you. I want you to get real hott,” he says. Ventura then replies, “Me Too, I just want it to be uncontrollable.” Cassie detailed some of the encounters, explaining that she “wore wigs and masquerade masks” to hide her identity because she didn’t want anyone to recognize her.

As the questioning continued, she also spoke about Combs’ obsession with success and “at one point” his alleged addiction to opiates.
