Erika Kirk Delivers Emotional Message After Husband Charlie Kirk’s Death

Erika Kirk spoke with raw emotion as her message aired on several news networks. Standing at the podium desk where Charlie once hosted his self-titled podcast, the now widow addressed the public with strength and grief. She called the shooting suspect, now identified as Tyler Robinson, “evil” and vowed that Charlie’s mission at Turning Point USA’s headquarters would continue.

“They killed Charlie because he preached a message of patriotism, faith. and of God’s merciful love. But they should all know this. If you thought that my husband’s mission was powerful before [then] you have no idea. You have no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country,” Erika said.

The grieving widow thanked law enforcement officers for arresting 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, the suspect in her husband’s death, according to NBC News. She also praised the first responders, saying they worked heroically to save Charlie’s life. Through tears, Erika described Charlie as the “perfect father” and the “perfect husband.”

“I will never, ever have the words to describe the loss that I feel in my heart,” Erika said. “I honestly have no idea what any of this means. I know that God does, but I don’t.”

Erika Speaks On Protecting Charlie’s Legacy

Per Fox News, Erika Kirk said she plans to keep Charlie’s name alive and vowed that the movement he built will never die. She promised his voice will remain and declared that, with her help, it will ring louder and clearer than ever.

“No one will ever forget my husband’s name. And I will make sure of it. It will become stronger. Bolder. Louder and greater than ever. My husband’s mission will not end. Not even for a moment,” the mom of two added.

As The Shade Room previously reported, Charlie Kirk was targeted on Wednesday, September 10, while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem. According to authorities, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson reportedly shot him once from the rooftop of a nearby building. Officers captured Robinson on the evening of Thursday, September 11, after a massive manhunt and arrested him on suspicion of capital murder, weapons violations, and obstruction. A law enforcement official said Robinson’s father was able to recognize him in released images and urged him to turn himself in, though Robinson allegedly refused at first.
