23-Year-Old Accused Of Killing Girlfriend’s New Love

According to court records, 23-year-old Wilson was taken into custody and charged with one count of murder in the death of 35-year-old Noel Denzel Miller. Deputies with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office were called to a home on Roveen Trail early Sunday morning after reports of a shooting. And, first responders found Miller lying on a bed in an upstairs room and suffering multiple gunshot wounds. Furthermore, he was pronounced dead on the scene.

The victim’s girlfriend, and Wilson’s ex, has not been publicly identified. However, the anonymous woman told investigators that she and Miller had returned home around 2 a.m. Sunday after going out. While she went to take a shower, Miller went to the laundry room — and that’s when the nightmare began. She reportedly heard gunshots moments later and found Miller injured on the bed. In the doorway stood Wilson, holding a handgun, and he allegedly made comments about her “playing games.” Additionally, he fled the scene with her cellphone.

Fatal Encounter Sparks Self-Defense Claim

Shiateek De-Shean Wilson allegedly admitted to shooting Miller in an interview with detectives but claimed it was self-defense, saying Miller pulled a gun on him. According to the affidavit, Wilson told police he arrived at the home around 1 a.m., intending to “surprise” his ex with flowers, money, and cocaine. When she wasn’t home, he hid in a closet until she returned — and that’s when the fatal confrontation occurred. As he ran from the scene, Wilson reportedly jumped fences and discarded the weapon. Investigators found multiple fired cartridge casings and bullet holes inside the home.

Furthermore, Wilson is currently held at the Bexar County Jail on a $300,000 bond. Authorities have not yet announced his next court date.
