Big Boss Vette Shares That She Beat Cancer After Keeping Her Battle Private

On Monday, January 5, Big Boss Vette took to Instagram to share a new video with fans. But this wasn’t just any video. It marked a battle she kept private and is now revealing to her supporters while celebrating a new victory. She was seen wearing a pink hat and a pink shirt that read “F*** Cancer” across the front. In the video, she is seen walking down the hallway, holding a black balloon with the words “Congratulations,” as staff and loved ones cheered her on while she made her way through the halls. The wholesome moment also included those around her singing her viral song, “Pretty Girls Walk,” as she walked forward to ring the bell. Her caption read, “IF YOU WOULD’VE TOLD ME I’D BE BEATING CANCER AZZZZZZ IN 2026 I WOULDN’T HAVE BELIEVED YOU !!!! WE DID IT YALLLLLLLLL.”

Loved Ones Speak Out With Messages of Love And Support

While celebrating her victory, many of Big Boss Vette’s close friends and team members spoke out, sharing heartfelt messages and reflections. Terrance Hawkins, a member of her team, took to Instagram to highlight her strength, faith, and perseverance throughout the past year, writing,

“This young lady has been battling for her life this past year! She’s been battling cancer while continuously working hard to be an artist. And through it all, she never complained or doubted the power of prayer. Today she was about to ring that bell. Allah (God) is truly the greatest. Some people just don’t realize or take advantage of the blessings that Allah (God) gifts us each and every day. We take it for granted. Be thankful, because one day you could wake up with a new reality. Congratulations Vette, it’s only up from here. We won’t give up. We will never give up!”

Her friend Destine Patton took to her Instagram Story to share an emotional message, praising Vette’s strength and spirit from the very beginning, writing, “My friend beat cancer! From day one your spirits were high and you knew you would beat this. You never let me stay sad too long. It’s crazy how you were  my anchor during your situation. That’s how I know you one of God’s favorites. I love you so much Diamond. You are the greatest friend God could’ve sent me. It’s your world baby!”

PR Erica Hamilton took to her Instagram Story to reflect on the milestone and the journey ahead, sharing, “Today is one of the best days. My client turned sister finished her chemo. The strongest, most resilient woman I know. You gave God your worries and He answered your prayers. I thank God for allowing you to start your year off with your journey to recovery. We’ll be there tomorrow too so you can ring that bell for radiation. I love you!”

Fellow rap peer Gloss Up took to her Instagram Story to admit she had no idea about the private battle and encouraged others to check on their friends, writing, “Check on y’all friends man cause I swear I had no clue. I be so stuck off in my own life I do not check on my people. I love you girl. Congratulations my baby God got you. F*** cancer twinskiii.”
