Chile… things between Donald Trump and Sean “Diddy” Combs are reportedly still icy. During a two-hour sit-down with The New York Times on Jan. 7, the former president was asked about several high-profile prisoners, including the 56-year-old music mogul, and whether he’d consider pardons for them. While Diddy allegedly wrote Trump a letter seeking clemency, Trump confirmed he’s not considering granting the request.
Trump even teased reporters about seeing the letter, saying, “Oh, would you like to see that letter?”—but he never actually produced it. Trump had already revealed back in October that the Bad Boy Records founder, who is appealing his conviction while serving a 50-month sentence in New Jersey for prostitution-related charges, had asked for a pardon—but reiterated he was not considering it. Furthermore, Combs’ projected release date is May 8, 2028, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
