That’s Bro! Tamar Braxton Shuts Down Rumors She Ever Dated Her Sister’s Husband Birdman (VIDEO)

Tamar Braxton said not her, and definitely not with her sister’s man! The singer recently appeared on Sherri Shepherd’s talk show, and during their chat, Tamar denied rumors that she had ever dated Toni Braxton‘s husband, Birdman.

Tamar Braxton Reveals She Introduced Birdman & Toni To Each Other

During the interview, Sherri wasted no time getting to Tamar’s tea. The host recalled accusations from Towanda Braxton that Tamar had a romance with Toni’s boyfriend. That televised accusation led to a heated moment between the sisters, with Tamar slapping a drink toward her sister. On the talk show, Tamar called the allegations “crazy.” She also jumped to shut down having any dealings with Birdman, present and past, when Sherri mentioned that people had assumed the allegation was about him.

“Where did that rumor come from? That is preposterous. Well, she didn’t say Bryan, this Bryan,” Tamar Braxton said, pointing at an on-screen photo of Toni and Birdman.

For context, the rapper’s real name is Bryan Christopher Williams. Tamar said the true history between her, Toni and Birdman is that she introduced the now-married couple. She also clarified that she was platonic friends with Bryan (Birdman) and knew the rapper because he had dated one of her friends a long time ago. After the couple split, she remained friends with him because he and his brother Slim allegedly wanted to sign her to Cash Money Records. During that time, Birdman inquired about Toni, but Tamar said she initially rejected the interest because Toni was married to Keri Lewis.

“When Toni got a divorce, he was serious about her and made his way in,” Tamar said. Adding that she felt upset by Towanda’s allegation and clarifying that it wasn’t true.

“The reason is not the truth is because everybody knows the person that she was speaking with was abusive towards. So it set me off.”

Here’s What Sparked Rumors About Tamar & Her Brother-In-Law

Aside from Towanda Braxton’s accusation, Tamar also fueled recent whisperings about her and Birdman with her appearance at the Cash Money and No Limit Verzuz battle in October. Video showed her on stage, bopping to the music and standing behind Birdman as he performed. Also, in another viral clip, she was seen wiping the sweat off of her brother-in-law’s head for a few seconds.

“That’s my brother. Now he’s my brother-in-law. That’s my brother, that’s my blood now. He’s married to my sister,” Tamar said.

She also shared that she, her sister and Bryan are “really really close,” to the point of being on three-way calls. The ‘Love & War’ singer also explained that her sister is a “closet hip hopper,” so being at a Verzuz or YB concert isn’t going to happen. However, for Tamar, that’s her scene and her vibe!

“…[Toni’s] not going to no YB concert, I’m going and I’m going to the Cash Money, No Limit Verzuz cause I’m ghetto and I like ghetto…and so when I was wiping the sweat off of him, first of all it was water…I was just like wipe me down,” Tamar Braxton said, seemingly referencing the song.

This isn’t the first time she’s addressed her presence at the Verzuz battle. A day after the battle, she cleared an X user who asked about her being there, instead of the rapper’s wife, Toni Braxton.

“Cause she couldn’t be here and she love her husband so ima hold it down for HER and MY BROTHER!!!! TF!!??”

Most recently, Tamar’s estranged bestie, Funky Dineva, also had folks questioning the singer’s loyalty, especially concerning taken men. Funky accused Braxton of flirting with and kissing Yandy Smith’s husband, Mendeecees. She denied it, and even threatened legal action, but Funky doubled down!

Toni Braxton & Birdman Celebrated Their Anniversary In Lavish Style

Back in October, Toni Braxton opened up about her marriage to Birdman in an exclusive chat with ‘Today Show.’ She shared that they’ve were friends for 25 years, before a romance blossomed a few years ago. This year, they celebrated their one-year anniversary after tying the knot last August. She and Birdman celebrated the marriage milestone by slipping away to an exclusive, off-the-grid spot. Despite reports of Toni filing a divorce petition last year, in August, she posted a photo of her huge, yellow diamond ring and wrote, ‘Happy Anniversary.’
