Max B Walks Free After Serving Almost 16 Years In Prison

Billboard reports that Max B walked out of Northern State Prison in Newark, New Jersey on Sunday, Nov. 9 after serving nearly 16 years behind bars. TMZ adds that he was originally sentenced to 75 years for his alleged role in a deadly New Jersey hotel robbery, but in 2016 it was reduced to 20 years after he pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter.

Earlier this year, Max teased his release while calling into ‘The Joe Budden Podcast.’ At the time, he told the hosts he was feeling great and “righteous,” per Complex“I’m doing all right. This is almost over. Wavy Baby coming home real soon.” He also said he was hyped about getting back to work.

“We on divine time. I’m working. I can’t wait to get re-acclimated. You already know I’m a musical genius myself, so n****s gotta get re-acclimated with my s**t. It’s a challenge. I love a good challenge. I’m the trendsetter!” Max B added.
