Complex just dropped its list of “The Best Rappers In Their Teens Right Now,” and 17-year-old BabyChiefDoIt took the number one spot. Now, social media is chiming in with mixed reactions about who made the list and who got left off.

Complex Names BabyChiefDoIt As The Best Teen Rapper
According to Complex, the staff based the list on each artist’s overall impact and music quality so far, noting that commercial success wasn’t the main factor since many of these artists are still starting their careers.
At the top is 17-year-old BabyChiefDoIt, followed by 18-year-old Nettspend.
Other viral teen rappers who made the cut include Star Bandz (17), Luh Tyler (19), DD Osama (18), and 310Babii (19), all of whom secured a spot for the second year in a row.
Female rapper Myaap, known for her viral hit “Fairy,” landed at No. 9, marking her first time on the list.

Earlier this month, a clip of BabyChiefDoIt began circulating online following his radio interview, in which he admitted to using ChatGPT to help write his lyrics. Although he didn’t specify any notable songs written with the AI tool, he shared that it has become part of his creative process since discovering it recently.
