Whew! Halle Bailey’s Reported Stylist Speaks Out After Sharing Photo Of Halo Amid Court-Ordered Social Media Ban

Ahead of his second birthday, Halo had a hair appointment for which celebrity stylist Jehcara Nelson was chosen. Nelson styled his beautiful, thick hair in twists. How do we know this? Nelson posted about it on social media, despite an active court order banning Halle Bailey, DDG, and their family and friends from posting content of the minor online. After facing intense backlash, Nelson cleared the air online and deleted the footage.

Celebrity Stylist Releases Statements After Posting Prohibited Footage Of Halo
On Dec. 20, Live Bitez shared footage sourced from Jehcara Nelson’s Instagram Stories, @strandsoflifehair. One video shows a child sitting still in a high chair, as Jehcara brags from behind the camera about a hairbrush being her secret to the silence. In the clip, she says that she doesn’t want to show his face. So, instead, she refers to him as a “famous baby,” and shared top, side and back angles of Halo’s hair. She also wrote on the video, “Famous Baby Chronicles: Guess the famous baby lol.” Jehcara Nelson also seemingly included a final look at Halo’s fresh ‘do, with the caption, “2nd birthday loading.”

But Nelson’s proud voice didn’t last too long! It appears she began catching instant heat given the court-ordered social media ban. It’s unclear if that heat came from Halle Bailey, DDG or their collective fans.
In October, the co-parents moved to drop their mutual domestic violence restraining order requests. Additionally, they reached a temporary custody agreement that granted Halle physical custody of Halo, except on Wednesdays and certain weekends, as reported by the LA Times. The paperwork also outlined their agreement on birthdays and this holiday season, though those details are not known to the public. Most relevant to Jehcara Nelson’s slip is the social media policy.
“Neither party shall post, upload or disseminate on the internet or any social media platforms, photographs, images, and or/information regarding the Minor Child,” the court documents reportedly state. That rules also applies to friends and family of Halle Bailey and DDG.
In this case, it’s unclear if Nelson falls under the “friends” category, given that she was apparently hired to provide a service. Still, a screenshot shared by Live Bitez shows that she posted a lengthy apology and accountability statement on Instagram Story, before setting her account on private. She started off by admitting that her post “included Halo,” then said she “did not have consent from Halle to post him.”
“…this was my mistake entirely. I was not aware that sharing his image would conflict with an existing court agreement, and there was absolutely no intent to cross any boundaries or cause harm. Halle was not aware that I posted the content, and this situation is in no way her fault. As soon as it was brought to my attention, I took responsibility and removed. I sincerely apologize for the oversight and for any concern it caused. I respect Halle and her family deeply.”
